There are an overwhelming number of books vying for the consumer's attention.

In 2007 it was estimated that there were are over 250,000 new titles released. This fact shows how competitive the marketplace is. With all of these new titles to choose from your book cover has about 20 seconds to make an impression.

The expression, “You can't judge a book by it's cover,” may be true.

But when people are looking for something to read, the cover is the first thing that they judge your book by. We don't think that you should leave the design of your book's cover to chance.

Your final cover is not something you run by your family and friends.

Their opinions, while cherished, are not a measure of the marketplace. We should never just guess what the marketplace wants. That's what children do. We do not have the right to simply guess. If we respect the marketplace it will in turn reward us for our attention.

The best way to get a read on the marketplace is to use professionals. They are in the front lines. They work in the marketplace every day. They see what's new, what's hot, and what's moving.

You will work directly with seasoned book cover artists right from the start.

At an initial meeting you can discuss your ideas with them. After that meeting they will create several ‘mock-ups' for your review. Each mock-up will render a different aspect of a sales approach. Once you have settled on an art direction the artist will then flesh out that cover. They will then create a digital file for you to review and approval. We do all this before we submit anything to the printer. The printer will also product an additional proof for your review and approval.
